Easter Devotion

WEDNESDAY

Meg Spires, Women’s Ministry Leader

Life in general can be tough. Sometimes it can feel like a struggle. We all are faced with issues and challenges in this Easter season, I’ve been reflecting on the challenges we face every day in our work and personal lives. But you know what? I was reminded of a song by Ben Fuller, “If I Got Jesus, I Got It All.”

That simple truth really hit me hard. When we feel overwhelmed, it’s easy to think that everything around us matters more than it does. But at the end of the day, if we have Jesus in our hearts, we truly have all we need.

Easter is a precious time for Christians. celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Easter is a time to celebrate the heart of our faith, bringing hope, renewal, and the promise of eternal life. John 11:25-26: Jesus told her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even if they die; and everyone who lives by believing in me will never die. This verse shows how important it is to have faith in Jesus and reassures us that death isn’t the end. Easter reminds us of God’s love and the power of redemption, encouraging us to welcome new beginnings and spread joy to those around us.

Let’s carry that thought with us as we face our daily struggles. Maybe it’s a medical issue with ourself or a loved one, maybe a relationship challenge,

Maybe financial concern or just the weight of the world feeling heavier than usual. Remember that we’re not alone. Jesus walks with us through every challenge. He’s our strength, our comfort, and our guide.

So, as we get into the Easter season, let’s take a moment to breathe and lean on Him. Let’s remind each other that we’re in this together, and with faith, we can rise above the hard days.
Happy Easter. As you celebrate this week let everyone see Jesus in you and that with Him we really do have it all!
Dear Heavenly Father,

Lord, we love you! We come to you today with grateful hearts, thanking you for the beautiful season of Easter. We appreciate the incredible gift of your Son, Jesus, who came to this Earth and showed us what true love looks like. He was the perfect example of love, kindness and compassion.

As we celebrate this season, we ask that you open our hearts and minds to understand the depth of your love and the vital importance of accepting your invitation and having you in our lives. We recognize that your plan was not just about making things easy for us but about saving us and giving us the promise of eternal life. Gather, thank you for showing us that death isn’t the end.    Lord, thank you!

Lord, we ask that you guide us and helping us to spread the good news of you.. We pray for Matt and Tommy as they share the Easter message at Boones Chapel. Let our church be a shining light in a dark world. Help us to love you, love one another, and share your love with everyone we meet. Lord, let our witness show others that by having you we have it all.

We love you and praise you, Lord. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Meg
